In June 1940 the RMS Niagara, which was carrying eight tons of gold, hit a German mine and sank in deep water off the coast of New Zealand. In the months that followed John Protheroe Williams was put in charge of a salvage mission.

The film will be introduced by Barbara O'Sullivan and there will be Q&A session afterwards.
